H.K.W.H.T.A.- Baraka Muganda, General Conference Youth Leader

“Adventist youth are not against hearing the Word of God. They are against boring preachers-dead preachers preaching dead sermons.”

                         — Baraka Muganda, General Conference Youth Leader. Some think youth, even Adventist youth, have no interest in the Bible because of post-modernism, secularism, humanism and materialism. But Baraka Muganda say he finds youth in all parts of the globe, wherever his travels take him, interested in the word of God when it is presented in a clear way by a speaker who clearly has a living connection with Jesus. He Knows What He’s Talking About (H.K.W.H.T.A.).

It’s not only that youths dislike boring preachers, but also boring topics aired by incompetent preachers. The most boring topics-actually perceived boring only because such preachers can’t scientifically or Biblically justify them, are life styles that owe origin from technological/scientific changes, here to say, Globalization. Youths are so rigid and hate hearing such preachings because they see as if contravening the style they have or wish to adopt—
